I am my happiest when doing anything that involves fashion. Just look at how excited I am in these pictures. My bright smile was also due to the un-imaginable joy of being featured in The Washingtonian Magazine. CLICK HERE to see the article. While I enjoy doing this to express myself and sense of fashion, I cannot Thank You enough for being recognized and appreciated in this way. This is definitely my 2019 highlight; I am beyond the moon with excitement and gratitude. I smiled so much that this is the first time I am noticing how deep my dimples are.

This look features a first for me, I usually wear heels, because I love how my legs look in them, but Ann (my amazing photographer) insisted that I try this look with flat shoes, for the women that don’t wear or like heels.

I have to admit, she was right, I love how simple and classy the outfit looks in flip-flops. And yes, the comfort of flat shoes was nice. With this being a success, I will try to create more outfits with flat shoes and offer a variety of styles on the blog. I am excited for this new challenge and new outfit ideas that I am working on.

On to the outfit, how cute is this top? It is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a cool summer day. It is an off the shoulder top that has pleated details on the sleeves and lace detailing in the mid area. It is such a feminine top and I love everything about it. I paired it with high waist jeans as I do with most crop tops in an attempt to expose as little of my abs as possible.

I accessorized with a pearl necklace and pearl earrings because they are my favorite and I added my silver mirror sunglasses. For my purse, I bought this cute blush colored Kate Spade purse as a gift to myself for the feature on Washington Magazine. It is my first designer item and I love it.
