All That Glitters

I am so excited to share this makeup look with you today. It has been a very long time since I wore a dark lipstick, glitter or a cut crease eye makeup, so I went all out and combined all three for this look and I really love how it turned out.

Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer and Nyx Shine Killer Primer

Foundation:  MAC Studio Tech  in NW44

Contour: Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Contour in Deep and Sephora Hghlight Lowlight Face Contour Duo

Blush: Sephora in  I’m Shocked

I did not struggle as much as I thought I would with the cut crease part of the eye makeup. It was surprisingly easy and super successful which shocked me because this was my second time in life doing a cut crease. First time was with this look and you can definitely see the improvement. (Eye makeup details are below)

For the glitter portion of the eye makeup, I used NYX Cosmetics liquid glitter. It’s funny how a straight line on the crease was difficult to achieve thanks to my shaky hands. However, the best part about the liquid glitter is, if you mess up, wait for it to dry and you can easily peel it off and it won’t mess up your eyeshadow.

Brows: Wet n Wild /kohl Eyeliner in 603A Simma Brown Now! and Covergirl 1 2 3 4 Eyeshadow Palette in the number 4 to fill in the brow

Primer: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original)

Eyeshadow: (Full Crease) LA Girl in Pure Beige, (Top Crease Only) Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette in Cyprus Umber. (Glitter) NYX Cosmetics Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Gun Metal.

Eyeliner: Nyx Cosmetics Collection Nior Liquid Liner

Lashes: Ardell Lashes in #113

On another note, I created the best wing of my life. It matched perfectly on both eyes and was the straightest and sharpest wing I have ever created to date. Wiping it off actually hurt my heart. But Cheers to my success and hopefully it lasts!

For my lips, I decided a really dark purple lipstick will match perfectly with the silver glitter in the eyes, and I was right. Purple and silver look good when paired together, so I figured this would be a safe attempt. Finally, I tied my hair back to add some elegance and simplicity since the eye makeup had a lot going for it. I also, picked the light blue dress because a light colored outfit looks better along the dark lips.

I really like this makeup look for prom, home coming or any formal event. It is classic and makes a statement.

Hope you like this look as well… XOXO Nia!!!
