Blushing Miss – How to Survive Valentine’s Day While Single

How about starting the month of love with a dress in the color that I love. I blush in pink and the love just shows on my face because I cannot contain the joy. I am also glowing because I absolutely adore this dress. It is made of a silk material; which is currently in trend and a perfect option for your galantine or valentine dates and best of all, it is super soft to the touch.

However, before I focus on the outfit, I want to speak about how this time can be a reminder of how single you are and how it can sometimes feel lonely. As someone that has been single for a few years now, I definitely understand how this day can have an effect. As for me, I am not bothered anymore. I have come to the realization, it is a day like any other and my time will come, patience is the name of the game, and I must admit, these single years have been the best stress free and selfish years of my life.

#1: Focus on yourself – My first tip is to spend this time to focus on yourself and your goals. Invest in yourself, emotionally, financially, spiritually and in every other way that will help your growth. When you do meet the right one, you will be the best version of yourself. That is a recipe for a lasting relationship, knowing exactly who you are, what you need from your significant other and what you are capable of giving. Guess work and trial and error in any relationship will not work. So please… focus on your growth, you will be greatfull for this time in the end.

#2: Enjoy being single – Being single has its benefits and having free time dedicated to yourself is such a blessing. You have the freedom to make or cancel plans, go out, travel, be lazy and being able to do what you want, when you want, is the ultimate best feeling. Enjoy these moments because being in a relationship won’t always allow for that. You will have to dedicate some of your time to your partner when you finally meet someone.

#3: It is a Day like Any Other – If you are still a little bothered about being single on Valentine’s Day, please do remember that it is a day like any other, and it too shall pass and life will be back to normal tomorrow. Do anything possible to avoid the romantic reminders, which is hard, but it is possible. Stay indoors and watch a funny movie or distracting program or go out to singles events, who knows, you could meet someone there. As for me, being happy for others has helped me a lot. Knowing that one day their experience will be mine as well, and if not, I have found peace in that too. I love being single and I spoil myself in every way and you should too.

#4: My final tip, is to wear something that is flattering, lifts your spirits and something you love. I promise, there is a power in looking and feeling good.

That is exactly what this outfit does for me, besides the color and texture, it is flattering and trendy and I look forward to wearing it again. I also love that it is a wrap dress, those are one of the most flattering styles out there. The boots are perfect for this cold weather and I kept the accessories simple and light by wearing pearls and an envelope clutch. Heels would also work well with this dress.

I hope you like this outfit and I hope these tips are helpful. If you have any to add, please share.
