Fall is here and so are the fall and winter items. I have a new-found excitement and reason to shop, due to all the new change of season clothing that is now available. And I am here to say, the temptation to over spend is real, as it always is, but this is one obsession that I truly enjoy. 

With the change of season, I have done a bit of research to find what the year’s trends are and naturally plaid is a forever fall and winter favorite. However, puffy sleeves were up on the roster this year. Though the runway items I observed have the exaggerated, yet fun and interesting puffy sleeves, I was happy to find a puffy top, that I could wear in real life. So, que this top that checks the list on both trends. I definitely see myself, wearing this top at a fashion event or meet-up, as it would be perfect for that setting. Imagine how fun it would be, to style this top among other fashion creatives, in which a variety of combinations, be it colors, textures etc. would be worn, welcomed and considered art. However, for the sake of real life, I choose to create a simplistic outfit that is appropriate for most settings or events. 

While the top is the highlight of the outfit, I think the color combination is as well. I love how the top makes the simple black jeans stand out. I also love that the jeans are high waist and they provide a lot of coverage in the stomach area, especially because this is a crop top and any warmth is appreciated during this time. Finally, I love how the pink purse pops against the plaid and black jean material. I always love to add a pop of color, especially pink, which is forever my favorite. 

When it came to accessories, keep is simple is the name of the game. So, I kept the black heels on, to easily match the outfit. I wore diamond drop earrings and wore silver sunglass to match the grey in my top. A little matchy, but with sleeves this puffy, I thought it was best to keep it simple and let the top shine.
